Being a parent is such a responsible act because you can do so much damage to the psyche of young children if you get it all wrong. Taking drugs, abandoning your kids, abusing them, leaves so many scars that can't be healed. Very sad.

What a wonderful Film! Well written and Performed Heartbreaking what terrifying trauma a Parent can inculcate into the mind and spirit of an innocent child? But to have the ignorance of a community reiterate those lies is complete destruction! Especially when as a Christian we know better! Children are Gifts from God! They do belong to us to do as we please? As Parent's we are the providers and protectors of their lives and their very souls. That Responsibility should be the most important job of our life before any other task we do?

In many ways this is a psychological thriller. In other ways it was the spirit of good versus the spirit of evil The fact that most of this was filmed in the woods gives a good backdrop to set the tone. What would you do in order to have a allegiance to the idea that protecting those you love is the first order of business. Because of some of the points of speculation crossing over into fantasy / reality this was a very well conceived film in its projection of many parallel lines of reality. One of the darker sides of the US!
This kid coming out of the woods has a neat haircut & looks well fed even if the director decided to make him look dirty. The dialogues were crazy. Nothing made sense to me even if I am supposed to be impressed about this female soldier adopting a kid straight out of the woods! π
