Sammie never sold his soul to the devil. When elderly Sammie was talking to vampire Stack at the bar, you can clearly see Sammie's reflection at the bottom right corner of the mirror. People didn't pay attention to the fact that Sammie was sitting down while Stack was standing up. People were too focused on the area where Stacks reflection would've been. Regarding the last end credit scene of young Sammie singing "This Little Light of Mine", I don't think the devil was at the doorway of the church when Sammy looked up. I think it was his father at the doorway. The way Sammie was singing "This Little Light of Mine" wasn't in the traditional manner that a gospel song is sung. The way he was singing it would be considered secular to church folk. So it would make sense that his father would pop up to reprimand him

Inaccurate. You left out the part where he goes back to church and repents. So he was actually seeing God and whatever he received from his music were blessings from God.
