He was born with powers, what's the human again 😅

It's not human again he never was, so it was worse...

If power is your power, what are you without it

Homelander on his knees begging for his Life. Perfect punishment for homeland would’ve been what everyone was suggesting that he stayed alive as an immortal, but with no power, he would be really helpless.

HL has had his powers his entire life he's never not had them I would say the second he realized they were gone he felt fear unlike anything he has ever experienced (he has been scared before like in s3)

Tony Starr is amazing i dont understand what people dislike homelander was pussy without his powers and finale proved it he was willing to do anything to live

I honestly would have let him live. With the pain of knowing his powers are gone and he has no leverage on society to be worshipped. For him, that's a fate worse than death. He would have felt like an empty shell of himself and killed himself anyway eventually.

Anthony Starr is fantastic playing this role!

I mean he is called Homelander because he has powers. He is powerful. I don’t know what people tryna prove here. Powers make a god. Vulnerability makes human, build characters. Without powers he is just John, a human.

Despite the talks about the season finale, we all gotta admit that it was a very fitting end for one of the most disgusting and despicable man on the TV Series industry!

the greatest part about this scene is that homelander has spent the entire show isolating himself from everyone. he took over vought, disbanded the 7, killed the president, became immortal and then put down his dad. he truly spent all of his time pretending that he wasn't human that the moment he lost all of that power, he realized he had nothing left. all he wanted to do was get out of that room and take some more V, but he realized that butcher had bested him and he was going to die all alone. he was truly nothing without his powers

He didn't even once act like he still thought he was in charge, he went away even worse than Alonso Harris in Training Day. It have been more satisfying if he tried to run and everyone he walked past that he mistreated would have attacked him all the way out of the building upon realising how powerless he finally became, while Billy kept following him with the crowbar, like a grim reaper until he could no longer run and all he could do is beg for life before Butcher then giving the killing hit with the crowbar.

I felt sorry for Homelander as well as glad he was pulverised. They dropped it in favour of a variety of more humorous parts of his character, but Homelander never really had a chance. He'd been used, tortured and experimented on since birth, and was crafted into exactly what he was taught to be. The early seasons pushed that quite hard. It was a bit conflicting to see him reduced to some utterly ridiculous and pathetic beaten creature, and Anthony Starr sold it perfectly. At the same time, it was good he finally got stopped as he'd clearly lost the plot!

That's the thing dude, this scene was perfect.Not because homelander was normal again, he's never, ever been normal.He's always had superpowers.He was born with his lasers, killing his birth mother, his surrogate, so to him, being normal as a whole new experience.I loved this ending
