Living Memories is a documentary film exploring the rich Intangible Cultural Heritage of St. Vincent and the Grenadines β celebrating the traditions, knowledge, creativity, and spirit passed down through generations across our islands. Produced in collaboration with the Department of Culture, UNESCO Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and VC3, the film journeys from mainland St. Vincent to the Grenadines, capturing the voices and practices that continue to shape Vincentian identity today. From indigenous Caribbean cuisine and herbal traditions to storytelling, dance, music, craftsmanship, fishing culture, and ancestral knowledge, Living Memories shines a light on the people who keep these cultural practices alive. Featuring cultural practitioners, historians, cooks, artisans, and community voices, the documentary reminds us that heritage is not only found in monuments or archives β it lives in memory, movement, language, food, ritual, and everyday life. At a time when globalization and climate change threaten many traditional ways of living, this film stands as both a celebration and an act of preservation for future generations. Special thanks to all the communities, elders, artists, and cultural custodians who shared their stories and opened their homes to this project.
