I SEE SFTH, I CLICK
if you haven't filmed a longform reaction yet, The Milkman is one of their best
if you’re reacting to SFTH next time, could you leave their subtitles on and only add subtitles for what you say? it’d be much easier to follow and their subtitles are top-tier with that being said, I’m glad to see another SFTH reaction, the commentary is nice
I think you should watch never give Annabelle a gun or the game of truth and tea
Some recommendations for SFTH: Some Party Quirks Freeze Tag Time Warp Or longforms like The Milkman Beetroots and Murder Toby's secret pocket The Evil Make-A-Wish Foundation The Unrelenting Aubergine Wine Under the Bridge Or (my personal favourite) The Grape Depression.
7:31 How Many Dinosaurs Can AJ Name!
When it comes to SFTH, as much as it's their skills, their friendship is the main key to why they're so so entertaining to watch. Everything felt so natural, it almost felt like you're actually there with them
My fav improv group 💜 This was def interesting to watch and see some theory behind the chaos! If you want longform suggestions, I personally adore "The Milkman", "We Love Poetry", and "We Buried the Wrong Guy", I rewatch them all the time!
YESSSSS, I WAS ONE OF THE PEOPLE WHO RECOMMENDED THEM THANKS SO MUCHH!! You should definitely react to more of their videos, it’s so interesting to hear your commentary!! As others have said, The Milkman is a really good start for their longform stuff, but it’s all amazing :))
Seconding all the suggestions to watch The Milkman longform!! Won't spoil anything but there's a particular AJ scene in it that is one of the funniest interactions I've ever watched
If you ever react to any of their longforms, i definitely recommend "the milkman", "never give annabelle a gun", "the unrelenting aubergine" and "sorry about my nan"
I suggest for longforms, The milkman, Lemons on a plane, Neighbors under the bed, and The phantom of hornchurch but all of them are great!
I think we have our next sfth guest here?
Omg it’s that thing I suggested last video! Yay! Edit after finishing the video: I’m so glad you enjoyed! They’re personally one of my favorite improv groups to watch. With their long form plays I recommend Jack the Stripper, The Grape Depression, Ballet on the Battlefield, The Midnight Mystery, and my all time favorite Wine Under the Bridge. Obviously I don’t mean all of them just if you’re looking for one to react to those are the ones that in my opinion are either the funniest or are the best as far as tension and drama (midnight mystery is a great example of justification while wine under the bridge is a great example of dramatic stakes and tension, Jack the Stripper does a lot of both those are definitely my top three)
I’d like to note that they are actually very experienced in explaining games and improv itself to people. They got their start in comedy clubs instead of improv clubs, so they had to win those people over a lot more. They also have a very tight-knit dynamic and have some very consistent banter, and even reference earlier games throughout the show. Their subtitles also have a lot of personality and are very funny. They have a lot of different things that make it amazing. They actually did an interview recently on What’s The Trick? that explained how they feel about their success.
Play suggestions would be Milkman, OMG is this a joke or The off season.
28:37 Fun fact that I recently learned from my Psych class: humans are actually quite good at understanding how other people felt/would feel in certain situations... unless they've been in similar situations, in which case they tend to project more. So, due to both that and a sort of confirmation bias, just trying to mimic what the other person is doing instead of attempting to put a ton of thought into where the other person is going is, I would wager, a pretty damn effective way to stay on the same wavelength.
I really enjoyed this video! If you ever want to react to one of their longform plays, my favorites are definitely The Glass Eye, A Game of Truth and Tea, and The Milkman (one of the older ones). When I first discovered shoot from the hip, I was definitely very drawn in the improv games, but I was so impressed with the plot development and the genuinely good acting the guys achieve, consistently.
Yesss! I've been waiting for a video on SFTH!
My first video of yours I've seen. I really enjoyed it! Shoot From The Hip are my favorite improve group, I absolutely adore them and I would love more in depth videos from you on them!
