Welcome back to Hermitcraft Season 11! In this episode, I continue expanding Ancient Rome by building a brand-new Roman Harbour on the edge of the city. The waterfront is starting to come alive, with docks, cranes, and a bustling shipyard ready to support the growing empire. We also spend some time detailing the area and connecting it to the rest of the Roman district, including views of the Great Aqueduct from the previous episode. The Roman city keeps growing, one project at a time! Keralis' base is one of my favourite bases this season! It's so full Roman whimsy
Maybe, as a nod to the Roman Empires trades agreement with Cub, have some Terracotta near the docks ready for export and/or on a cargo ship.
Youre missing shrines and temples! Just like super small shrines among roads and inside residential buildings (for the lares, penates, genius, which are the household gods) In general more spirituality just randomly scattered. The empty place in the harbor a statue of neptune, if you do a hospital do some of Apollo, etc...
I think the deepslate works well in the dock area, because it gives the impression of the stone being wet.
Hay fever and the dentist tried their best, but the episode still made it out! Enjoy, and sorry for yet another building episode… I can’t help myself! What do you think about it? X: /WorldofKeralis Instagram: /iamkeralis
Of all the Anno buildings I really thought the hardest one to build would be the shipyard but you nailed it. That roof is perfect and looks incredible in Minecraft, didn't think it'd actually work but there it is
Just as my food was ready I saw ‘2 minutes ago ‘ I’ve been blessed
Papa K! When you start to actually build the city, i much reccommend you hop off Anno and instead explore actual roman streetmaps, central rom is way way tighter and compact than any building in Anno is possible
For the ship's eye, you could ask False for a special banner featuring an eye!
Glow lichen is going to be your friend for mob proofing spaces where you don't want to use lanterns that are too bright when you really want it to be more moody and shadowy.
Bros been unbelievably consistent, legend
I love your bases Keralis, this one has the potential to be even greater then the city in season 7, loved that one so much
I love the idea of adding the person having a nap under the boat (maybe with armour stands)
24:48 you should get some savanna villagers and let them roam around the city, since they have a kind of roman-ish look, and i think if you give them workstations and beds inside the houses they’ll hide and be safe at night
You could cover the Nether portal with shelves, to try and make it look like marble columns, that form a doorway
Id love a statue of neptun with a trident in the harbour Or a little shrine for the seamen to pray xD
I think the walls of the aqueduct need some stalls. The busy area of harbor and docks is prime location to make a quick buck. Also the shade of the aqueduct walls is a bonus for the merchants. A small little workshop, a fruit vendor and maybe a craftsman. It will add so much life to the empty spaces
If you haven't seen it before the carthage ship port is a really cool piece of architecture that could work closer to the city area as well
9 seconds may be the fastest I've ever seen a video posted and clicked on it.
it would be cool to make the Tower of Hercules for a historical lighthouse
