underscore!... I remember that. Thanks Jeremy. 🎉
Please do more videos about these absolute legend of the industry. Kids these days have started to think everything programming are invented by chatgpt and the likes.
Thanks Jeremy 👍
I saw all of this. It was maddening.
Thanks Jeremy
I volunteer for running sailboat and foil racing under the Golden Gate Bridge. Anything that keeps people from jumping off and landing on my boat is really, really personal.
Nice. Coding needs a Hall of Bin with those 'one guys' on who's (whom's?) shoulders the entire modern coding edifice / Interweebs rests. Linus, Bjorn, JS guy, Pandas guy, curl guy, some ffmpeg guy probably... I'm sure there are others whose stories deserve to be immortalized. If they can't have money, at least they can have nerd respect. As I said, sparkling nice vijeo from the Nice region of France.
Crazy thumbnail 💀
Truly a hero without a cape
People outside of software would be astonished by the tons of free work many programmers contribute to the world
thank you jeremy
The V8 javascript engine saved Javascript. Before that it was terribly slow. Structure was always a problem for beginning developers, but adding structure to javascript was always possible. The other big save for me is adding JSDOC types to key points so intellisense in VSCode can give correct auto completions instead of everything. It works even without using typescript for everything.
Amazing video!!!!
cool story bro
Lol that large cannons :-D. subtle nod
I need a 'What If: Lua Wins the Web' scenario. Imagine HTML, CSS, and Lua with metatables as components. Lua is so popular that it's used for everything, Python is forgotten. Lua in the backend, Lua for ML, Lua for embedded systems, Lua everywhere. I would love to live in that reality.
Programming history. Nice.
The cannons joke. O M G.
this was beautiful, thanks.
