2:51 Someone call Scotland Yard! A Munchlax was murdered and is lying in a pool of its own blood😱
I am genuinely impressed with your ability to design and make compelling and truly interesting board games. Keep it up man, really enjoy the content!
29:40 I don't know how much of a hastle it would be but it would be so fitting if the milky way path was on blue spaces so you had to get a milk in order to cross the milky way
0:31 BOOOO! Also, I LOVE Candyland and can’t wait to see how you Pokemon…ify it. Candy Cane Forest for the win!!!
The Chocolate being swapped to Delouxe Sunday Split is really funny to me. "I crave chocolate! No... wait.. Put it on an ice cream!"
38:10 it’s the greed they talked about in the Bible!😂
Now this is Candyland! ❤
Ever since the Snakes & Ladders remake, I've been kinda hoping you'd end up doing Candy Land. I agree that it's an iconic childhood thing (and being a lore guy, I love imagining actually wandering through a fantastical candy world), but it really is a non-game, decided entirely by chance (so that even little kids can win, of course). The mechanics you added seem pretty fun and add a level of strategy to it. Just gotta account for people stopping at the end space and getting Freeze or Bake cards! Also, feels like there isn't as much use for Dough cards as other basic ingredients, as very little seems to ask for them, which ends up with nobody wanting them until they suddenly need Bread. The Pokemon art is, as always, adorable and fun. My only complaint on the presentation is that, because of the layout of the Munchlax spaces, they don't really coincide with the actual pictures of the Munchlax running amok on the board. If the spaces were all next to pictures of Munchlax causing trouble, I'd see it as players stopping their rampage by feeding them - which seems to be the theme you went for!
Excellent Pokemonified version of Candy Land, definitely seems more fun than regular Candy Land. Making it themed after all the food based Pokemon and all that is a good way of making a Pokemon themed version of Candy Land. Adding more recipe cards is a great idea, and I did notice many of the dishes were based on Pokemon which is a good way of doing it. If I had to suggest a recipe perhaps a cookie dough ice cream, don't know what Pokemon you could theme it after but it could be like Ice Cream and Dough and maybe Chocolate or something like that. Aside from that, maybe add like the double movement ingredient cards like Honey for a double yellow or like a Nacli Salt for double orange and stuff like that. Maybe some extra character cards too like the Microwave Rotom burns up an ingredient in your hand or the Fridge Rotom lets you keep your current ingredients and draw 1 extra or something like that. You have a lot of Pokemon on the board that you can use as cards should you want to. Aside from that though, it's cool seeing new people on these videos, I hope Bailey shows up again at some point and I hope you bring on even more new people for these videos.
In my board gaming group, we use Candy Land as an initiation ritual, where we play a game, but treat it with the seriousness of a end of season Yugioh duel. Good way to show off the group's attitudes.
I feel like there should be a space at each location that offers a unique food item that must be held on till you reach the end of the board that gives bonus points at the cost of taking up 1 of the 6 inventory spaces
You should add a mechanic where you can exchange 2 of your cards for the most recently discarded card, kinda like in rummy where you can “buy” the discard if nobody ahead of you in the turn order wants it, but you have to take the top card of the deck with it
Maybe it would be too OP but I would like to be able to move when discarding a card out of your hand, instead of only moving when drawing the card.
You did it. You madman, you actually did it. You put **actual gameplay** in the candyland format. I say format, because more than any of the others you REALLY just started from the ground up on this one, and the results are insanely cool. Also I love Mama Dachsburn she's my favorite. Also-also I figured milk and egg were surely gonna be an omelette.
First, I want to say that I need the recipe for the Galarian Ponyta Frappuccino!! You are so creative, this board and the characters are incredible! I can't wait to play this with my nieces. Thank you for providing so much joy 💖 I always look forward to your next project!
1:55 "I LIKE SANDWICHES I LIKE SANDWICHES I LIKE SANDWICHES I LIKE SANDWICHES I LIKE SANDWICHES I LIKE SANDWICHES SANDWICHES SANDWICHES SANDWICHES SANDWICHES HIT IT!" Thanks Brentalfloss for adding/ruining that song for me for the rest of my life.
once again, the art assets knock it out of the park. This looks so colorful and kid-friendly, genuinly would find something like this on pokemon-themed cereal. absolutely AMAZING as always!
55:50 I insist, before watching this video, watch this little clip.
