What if deserts had oases that actually felt like oases instead of just a puddle with sugar cane? Surface lush caves already prove the game can generate water, clay, and trees in the middle of sand. Just scale it down and call it an oasis biome

Deserts have been so forgotten that the most hype they've gotten in years is another biome invading them 😭😭
I think I'd prefer a proper Oasis sub-biome rather than them just allowing lush caves to generate on the surface in deserts. I do feel lush caves could look good on the surface, but if there's any cave biome that would fit being in a desert on the surface, it would be dripstone.

I personally feel like deserts should not have lush caves everywhere, cuz deserts aren't lush. We can add rare oasis tho, that would be cool

The Surface Lush Cave should have an upside-down azalea tree generate at the bottom above bedrock, to help you find it when you are strip mining.
