You guys don't get it. Players at United had been under the iron fist and aura of Fergie for a long time. For someone to come in and not take charge is sign of weakness. Big players require big personalities to manage them. And even then they'll test you. This is the players way of saying he's weak.

That was such small club mentality. They needed someone like Guardiola, Ancelotti, Zidane, Mourinho. Not some low tier club guy like Moyes. First match, you could tell he was in over his head. What a disaster. It cost the club everything.

What some of us forget is, Fergie wanted a smooth transition of Moyes into United. Unfortunately that got cut short when a family member of fergie’s was rushed into hospital and later passed away. Also the fact Moyes brought in most of his staff, which messed everything up. Moyes wasn’t given the time, money and backing, that he should have had, just lit a lot of other managers after Moyes. 3 years is too long for the United board to wait, and it’s a shame because that the minimum any new manager should be given. But that’s impatient, greedy owners for you.
