No wonder they didn't want to remove it in the first place, the Army didn't want to acknowledge it was fragging/friendly fire, but still they could've lied in the report that he got shot by the enemy

I read an episode summary. Not enough of the bullet was left (after removal) for Mr. Scofield to decide if it was friendly fire or not. He considers getting a forensic analysis. He says his life was ruined over this incident. He is encouraged to finally move on and leave it in the past. He can still start his life over.

And the insurance company denies the surgery because he's had the bullet in him for fifty years, so it qualifies as a pre-existing condition, and if the Army deemed it unnecessary to remove then why should they pay or cover it.

At least in the US military the decision to frag somebody is not made lightly. .. And Bullets can be tracked back to the rifle that shot it. But a Fragmentation gernade cant .. hence the word "Frag"

He is grumpy as hell.....I love grumpy Grandpa's....my grandfather used to be a grumpy old man and my cousins and I used to love to aggravate the hell out of him......he ONLY smiled when he looked at his wife....my grandmother.....we knew we could make him smile but he would always turned around so we couldn't see him smiling....R.I.P.
