I have an 85 S10 that has been sitting for about 15 years. My dad bought it new in 85. We put a SBC in it in 90, and drag raced it till 94 when we got military orders over seas. Truck spent its entire life in AZ. There isn't a spot of rust anywhere on it. I have been intending to get it back on the track for years, just never get around to it.
Stuffed the rust holes with paper before doing bondo. Making sure the paper would hold moisture and cause more rust damage.
